Free-radical damage is one of the leading causes of aging and pre-mature aging skin and complexion - leading to wrinkles, roughness and fine lines. Learn more here about how antioxidant skin care care help make your skin and complexion look and feel younger and healthier!
Why Antioxidants are Good for Your Skin
Antioxidants is one of those skin care categories that has "flown beneath the radar" so to speak. Compared to creams, lotions, and serums that fight wrinkles, dryness or common skin problems, antioxidants rarely take the spotlight.
As a skin care manufacturer and distributor, we find this a bit discouraging. Why?
As you will find in many of these articles and in product descriptions, antioxidants help tremendously with keeping premature skin aging at bay.
Free-radicals caused by sun-exposure, natural aging, smoking, drinking (and a host of other causes) damage skin cells. It's as simple as that. Damage manifests itself as wrinkles, dry skin, thin skin, sagging and discoloration (dark spots, age spots, etc).
While antioxidant creams and serums are not a total solution to skin aging, they can go a long way towards prevention and delay problems or ailments we may encounter as we grow older. In fact, we recommend our customers begin using moisturizing antioxidant creams as early as their mid-thirties. They can go a long way towards keeping you complexion smooth, youthful and wrinkle-free.
