Directions for use:
Wet hair and apply a small amount. Massage into scalp and hair from roots to tips. Cleanse from front to back and rinse thoroughly. Repeat if desired.

Why are Sulfate-Free and Paraben-Free Shampoos Good for your Hair?
While "sulfate-free" has become a catch-phrase for shampoos with harmful ingredients, sulfate-free refers to sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), a primary ingredient found in many less expensive shampoos. SLS can be found in detergents, disshwashinbg fluids, car wash and other cleaning products that are required to "suds-up". SLS is a surfactant and causes the bubbles and foaming action. While important for cleaning products, sodium lauryl sulfate has been shown to be harmful to scalp tissue and hair - often leading to brittleness, chronic dryness, loss of color (for color treatments, and shortened hold-time for perms, relaxing, and straightening treatments. It is also damaging to color treated hair.
Sodium lauryl sulfate free is important is helpful for healthy, full, volumnous body. Likewise, parabens (preservatives) have also been found to be damaging. Parabens are know to cause itchy scalp, dandruff, inflammation and sometimes allergic reactions. |
