Scalp Itch and Help | Taking Care of your Scalp
Scalp itch, or itchy scalp, is often a result of irritation due to bacteria, chemical reactions to hair products or dirt and oil that has built-up, clogged pores and have lead to infection of fungus. Scalp itch may also be a sign of scalp psoriasis, scalp acne or eczema. Carefully selected hair care products cand help eliminate scalp itch!
To help scalp itch we must first ensure we have properly cleansed the scalp and hair. Bacteria, dirt, sebum (oil from the sebaceous glands) “plug” follicle pores and allow bacteria to collect and grow. A deep cleaning shampoo, though not necessary daily, is required use in a healthy scalp regimen. Follicleanse Shampoo contains Zinc PCA , a combination of Zinc and PCA, that deep cleans the scalp, removing dirt and oils.
Emu Oil, another primary active ingredient, is a naturally-derived anti bacterial and anti inflammatory. It destroys bacteria, fungal infections, soothes the scalp and reduces inflammation due to infection. Follicleanse also contains mineral and vitamin rich nutrients that replenish scalp skin allowing normal skin reproduction. The obvious benefits to Follicleanse are that it removes flaking, dandruff, product build-up and oil and dirt – all of which lead to scalp itch.
Secondly, once cleansed, the scalp requires moisture. We recommend several helpful options. One, Jojoba Oil, is a super-moisturizer and provides vital essential oils and nutrients. Used commonly in upper-end hair products, jojoba oil is a first line of defense against itchy scalp. Another useful product is Emu Shampoo and Conditioner. Both products are targeted towards daily cleansing and conditioning with the added benefit of the properties of Emu Oil.
Emu Oil is well known for its therapeautic properties. It is a natural moisturizer, but also offers natural skin rejuvenation and anti bacterial properties. Emu Shampoo and conditioner both soothe skin and scalp, kill bacteria, reduce inflammation, and promote healthy scalp and hair.
So, if you have scalp itch, help is here. Clean with Follicleanse twice a week, weekly apply Jojoba Oil, and daily shampoo and conditioner with Emu Oil Hair Products.
