Traditions have taught many of us that lavishly applying oil to our hair will give us the soft, shiny hair that we all desire. However more often than not, the opposite takes place.
 
Most oils if they are not essential oils do not have the ability to penetrate into the hair shaft. Nor do heavy cholesterols. What they will do, is to lay on top of the cuticle, and coat the cuticle. This may give the hair some Brilliance. However, it will also coat the hair and causes product build-up and hair damage.
 
The best way to use hair oils to keep hair super hydrated and receiving the much needed omega 3's that our hair is starving for. Get a bottle emu oil. When you go to wash your hair simply drop about 4 drops of emu oil in the same hand as the shampoo. Lather hair with the shampoo/oil mix and leave on scalp for about 3 minutes. Now rinse. The shampoo will rinse away the oil from the scalp and hair so that you do not have oily , weighted down hair. Yet most of the oil has penetrated the hair and the scalp to feed the root of the hair.
 
We suggest doing this at least a couple of times per week. We also suggest doing this with Jojoba oil (nature's deep cleanser) Emu oil and jojoba oil can be found here!
