A) What makes your products different?
People would absolutely cry if they realized what they were getting from cheaper but well known brand shampoos. Over 97% water and then a very harsh surfactant (cleanser) that can slightly burn the scalp and cause irritation.
This irritation is not always felt but it inflames the hair follicle and pinches the hair causing the blood flow to be compromised and this in turn causes many problems from frizzies, dry hair, weak brittle hair to even thinning over time. Switching to a natural or organic based shampoo has been the difference that many women needed.
Our products have extreme amounts of botanicals. This means that there is more of that in the bottle than anything else. Remember that hair is 88% protein.
Giving your hair amino acids (the building blocks of proteins), vitamins and natural stimulants to increase blood flow over time is the best that can be done for the scalp and hair. Conditioners must be used because they protect the hair. Many of ours have UVA and UVB as well as wind protection!

e) What causes hair to become frizzy, dry and even thin and more like straw as we age?
Answer: There are several different things at work.
1) chemical treatments: hair color and perms, relaxers and other treatments including highlights are very harsh on the hair. it is similar to running a marathon. However most women do nothing to replaced the vital amino acids and proteins lost during the treatments. this is the marathon runner not getting any water during the race.
Eventually you will have hair problems! The other problem is that some women think that the products they are using is doing the job but odds are that if they are drug store or grocery store products then they don't have enough of the important stuff in them to matter
2) The second thing that causes hair problems in women is build up of dirt, bacteria and hardened sebum and hormones on the hair root. Before you read on understand that over 80% of all women have heavy build up on their hair!!!!! I cannot stress this enough! the sticky gels, sprays and chemicals trap dirt over the years. It does not matter how often you wash your hair this build up is on the root and a special shampoo must be used. Our shampoo is Follicleanse. How do we know it works. SIMPLE we can see it on the microscopic hair analysis.
F) How do I know what is causing my hair problem?
This is the best question to ask with any problem. If your leg hurts the doctor just doesn't say take a pill or at least he shouldn't. He should x-ray the bone to see if it broken or if there is infection etc. Your hair is no different. This is why we began looking at hair with a microscope and specialized lighting.
Hair problems caused by stress, build up on the root as well as lack of nutrition in the hair or depleted hair can all be seen in the microscope. This allows us to tell you exactly which problems you have. More importantly it has allowed us to see which products work and which don't. In the past you have had to take manufacturer's at their word.
While most products work at covering up the problem with conditioners or sprays that coat hair to make it look shiny and healthy ours get to the source of the problem to solve it for once and all.

H) How do Healthy Hair Plus products differ from other brand names!
Our products are specialized for each condition such as dry scalp and skin, oily scalp, thinning hair, prevention from sun and chlorine problems and many other issues that we deal with on a daily basis with our hair.
Most importantly they work to prevent hair problems by cleansing the root of the hair, feeding the hair as well as stimulating blood flow and as this is done with natural based products and not harsh surfactants that burn the scalp. We use an estimated 50-75% more vitamins and botanicals than the average shampoo.

I) Is it true that some well known products actually harm the hair?
Definitely! A surfactant is the main cleanser in the shampoo and also causes a lot of foam which people generally associate with cleansing.
The problem is that they tend to burn but only slightly but the slight burn causes a little bit of inflammation which in turn causes the follicle to be squeezed and blood flow hampered. The result is a hair that is slowly choking. Similar to someone constantly having their fingers around your neck!
You are better off using sodium laureth sulfate and not sodium laurel sulfate.
J) How long does it take to get hair healthy again?
We always talk about thirty days because many of products will show you immediate results such as the Silk Protein conditioner and the NO weight daily conditioner as well as the Folli-cleanse shampoo. This is because they infuse the hair shaft immediately to make existing hair healthier.
However what you really want is the new hair growth to be healthy and faster growing. This takes around 3 months to get the cells where they should be--properly nourished and cleansed of build up and hormones!
K) Do hair vitamins work?
Definitely. But most people don't allow the proper time for them to work. Hair vitamins need to be used about 3 months for real results to begin. Hair vitamin shampoo is also an excellent source of amino acids which are the building blocks to proteins.
L) What are your best selling products?

M) Which products are best for women. Like a blanket approach to healthy hair?
Every Caucasian woman and man should use Follicleanse root cleansing shampoo 2 times per week. If they use Follicleanse then they cleanse out hormones, bacteria, dirt, product build up. this means that they can use sprays and mousses as well as gels and not worry about them clogging up the root of the hair!
Everyone should also condition their hair to reduce friction between the scalp and hair which results in hair breakage and hair loss in shower.
"No Weight daily conditioner" does so many wonderful things for men and women including increase diameter of the hair with heavy amounts of panthenol and ivy burdock as well as stimulate hair growth naturally with fenugreek. It has literally no weight to weigh the hair down. It should be a daily thing for women and men!

Yes, those are two of the products that have a blanket approach to getting and keeping hair healthy. The silk protein conditioner can bring hair back for the dead. It will be softer in just 2 uses! Very few products even attempt to say that.

Vitamin shampoo, Keeping the color shampoo ( for the proteins) and also either silk protein conditioner or no weight daily conditioner ( or both).
